At Scott Home Comforts, we believe that trust, transparency, and genuine care are the foundations of every great service. Your home is your sanctuary, and it deserves to be treated with the same pride and respect that we show our own. As a family-run company based in Crawley, we bring a personal touch to professional cleaning — combining high standards with heartfelt service. Our goal is simple: to provide a level of quality and reliability that truly sets us apart while building lasting relationships with every client we serve.
Scott Home Comforts was born from experience — both good and bad — and from a deep understanding of what truly matters in people’s homes.
After several years as a stay-at-home mum raising our family, I began to feel ready to take the next step — to build something meaningful outside of home while still keeping family at the heart of it. After many late-night discussions with my husband, we decided it was time for me to return to work. I’ve always found satisfaction in cleaning — in transforming a space, bringing order and calm, and seeing how much lighter people feel when their homes are truly looked after. It felt like the perfect fit.
I took a job with another local cleaning company, eager to learn the ropes and do something I genuinely enjoyed. At first, I loved it — the people, the homes, the satisfaction of seeing a job well done. But over time, I began to notice things that didn’t sit right with me. There was a lack of transparency between management, staff, and clients. Pricing wasn’t consistent, and employees weren’t always paid fairly for their hard work.
Worse still, I witnessed serious lapses in hygiene standards — the same equipment used from one home to the next without proper cleaning, contaminated cloths being reused, and a general attitude that prioritised profits over people. As someone who takes immense pride in doing things properly, I couldn’t ignore what I saw.
That experience changed everything for me. It showed me exactly what I didn’t want to be a part of — and it gave me a clear vision of the kind of company I wanted to create.
So, with encouragement from my husband and family, I decided to take the leap and start my own business — one that would do things differently.
From day one, Scott Home Comforts was built on integrity, transparency, and care — for both our clients and our team. Every cleaner who works with us is valued, respected, and paid fairly for the exceptional standards they deliver. Every client is treated with honesty, fairness, and appreciation.
We set out to be a company people could trust — where high standards aren’t just a promise, but a daily practice. We introduced strict hygiene protocols, transparent pricing, and an open, family-led approach to business.
That balance — between professionalism and compassion, between quality and fairness — is what keeps our business grounded, and it’s why our clients stay with us.
When we founded Scott Home Comforts, we agreed on one simple rule — we will never cut corners, not with cleaning, not with people, and not with integrity.
We hold ourselves to the highest possible standards because we’ve seen what happens when companies don’t. We know how quickly trust is lost when shortcuts are taken, and how harmful it can be when hygiene and honesty take a back seat to profit. That’s why every process, product, and practice at Scott Home Comforts has been carefully designed to reflect our values.
We go far beyond standard cleaning expectations to ensure the safety, hygiene, and peace of mind of every client we serve.
We never reuse the same hoover, mop, or cloth between properties without proper disinfecting.
All equipment is deep cleaned and disinfected multiple times a week, and we keep meticulous logs of every sanitation cycle.
Our products are eco-conscious, DEFRA-approved, and pet-safe, ensuring luxury-level results without harsh chemicals.
We take every measure to prevent cross-contamination between clients, guaranteeing a completely fresh clean every time.
This level of care takes more time, more effort, and more dedication — but it’s the foundation of everything we stand for. When you invite us into your home, you can trust that we’re not just cleaning — we’re protecting your space, your health, and your peace of mind.
At Scott Home Comforts, we’re proud to be family-run. We’re proud of our standards. And we’re proud to be doing things the right way — always.
From the very beginning, Scott Home Comforts was built on the belief that business should be about more than profit. For us, cleaning isn’t just a service — it’s a way to bring relief, comfort, and dignity to people who need it most.
Both of us, Katie and Matt, have experienced firsthand what it’s like to go through difficult times. We know the pressure that comes with juggling family, health, and home when life feels overwhelming. We know how hard it can be to ask for help — and how much difference it makes when someone offers it without judgement or expectation. That understanding inspired us to launch our Community Support Project — a monthly initiative where we provide a completely free, full-scale clean to a local individual or family in need.
This isn’t a marketing campaign or a business strategy. It’s a reflection of our values. Each community clean is a gift, not a transaction. It’s our way of saying: “You’re not alone, and you deserve a fresh start.”
We personally read every nomination we receive, and we’re often deeply moved by the stories shared with us — stories of illness, loss, exhaustion, and resilience. Many of these people remind us of moments in our own lives when a little help could have made a big difference. That’s why we’re so passionate about doing what we can to lighten someone’s load and lift their spirits.
We make no profit from these cleans — in fact, they cost us money. But the reward we receive is far greater than any payment. It’s in the smiles, the tears, and the gratitude of people who finally get to take a breath in a clean, calm, peaceful home.
Our community project represents what Scott Home Comforts truly stands for:
Compassion. Integrity. Humanity.
Because to us, success isn’t measured in numbers — it’s measured in the difference we make to the lives around us.
