At Scott Home Comforts, we believe that every home deserves to feel calm, cared for, and comfortable — no matter the circumstances. Our Community Clean Giveaway is our way of giving back to the local families who make our community so special. Each month, we select one household in need to receive a completely free professional clean — no cost, no catch, no strings attached.

These cleans are a true passion project for us. We don’t make any profit from them — in fact, each one costs us both time and resources — but the reward of helping someone feel a little lighter, a little more supported, and a little more at peace is worth every moment.

October Community Clean Winner: Jorgia’s Story

October brought an incredible number of nominations for our Community Clean Giveaway — each one a reminder of the strength, resilience, and love that exists within our community. We were so moved by the stories shared that, for the first time, we decided to choose two winners. One of them was Jorgia, a remarkable woman whose quiet strength and selflessness deeply touched our team.

Jorgia has spent her life caring for others — her two children, one with additional needs and one managing medical challenges, as well as her mother, who recently moved into the family home following the heartbreaking loss of Jorgia’s father earlier this year. Amid her grief, she’s been juggling endless responsibilities — fighting for her daughter’s educational support, caring for her family, and trying to keep on top of the constant practical demands of home life. But even in her message to us, her words were filled not with complaint, but with kindness, grace, and gratitude. She spoke of exhaustion — the kind that comes from giving everything to everyone else — and of how the small things, like keeping up with the house, had simply become too heavy to carry alone.

When we told her she’d been selected as one of our October winners, her response was filled with humility and warmth. She thanked us sincerely and told us how much this would mean to her family. That moment reminded us exactly why we do this. Our team wanted to give her what she so freely gives to others — care, comfort, and relief. A clean, calm home may not change everything, but it can bring lightness back into a heavy day.

For Jorgia and her family, this wasn’t just about a sparkling kitchen or tidy rooms. It was about creating a space that felt peaceful again — a small pocket of calm in the chaos, where they could breathe, rest, and reset.

Because sometimes, kindness isn’t about grand gestures — it’s about lifting someone’s load, even for just a moment.

October Community Clean Winner: An Unnamed Family’s Story

This October, we were overwhelmed by the incredible number of nominations received for our Community Clean Giveaway. Each one told a story of resilience, kindness, and courage — a reminder of why we started this project in the first place. Our second October winner is a beautiful family of four — a husband, a wife, and their two young children, aged just four and five. For privacy reasons, we are keeping their names anonymous, but their story is one that moved every member of our team.

This nomination came from the wife, who reached out not for herself, but for her husband. She told us about how, just a few years ago, their lives changed dramatically when he became suddenly and severely ill. Once active, independent, and the family’s main provider, he was later diagnosed with several life-altering medical conditions that took away much of his mobility and strength. But the reason we chose this family wasn’t just because of his story — it was because of hers.

Behind every challenge, there was her unwavering love and quiet strength. She has held her family together through heartbreak, exhaustion, and uncertainty, balancing the roles of wife, mother, and carer with extraordinary grace. She works tirelessly to keep their home running, their children smiling, and her husband supported — all while asking for nothing in return. Her message to us was filled with warmth, humility, and hope. There was no self-pity — only love for her family and gratitude for the small moments of kindness that help her keep going.

We knew instantly that this family needed to be part of our October project. This clean wasn’t just about restoring a home — it was about giving a moment of relief to someone who gives everything of herself to others. For this incredible woman, our goal was to create a space where she could take a breath, even for a moment. A home that felt calm and peaceful, reminding her that her strength doesn’t go unseen.

This family’s story is a testament to resilience, love, and the quiet heroism of those who carry the weight of care every single day. Their courage inspired us all — and we were honoured to bring even a little bit of light and comfort into their lives.

October Community Clean Runner-Up: Jade’s Story

Every month, we receive an overwhelming number of nominations for our Community Clean Giveaway — and each one reminds us just how much courage and strength exist within our community. While we wish we could help every person who enters, it simply isn’t possible — but sometimes, a story touches us so deeply that we feel compelled to do something. This October, that story belonged to Jade.

Jade reached out to us with an incredibly heartfelt message, sharing her experience of living with OCD while caring for her beautiful 16-month-old daughter — a little girl who has already endured multiple open-heart surgeries, with her most recent taking place in early October.

Between hospital visits, recovery periods, and the daily responsibilities of being a full-time mum and carer, Jade has found herself struggling to keep up with the home she takes so much pride in. For her, cleaning isn’t just a task — it’s part of how she manages her anxiety and keeps a sense of order in an otherwise unpredictable world. But with so much on her shoulders, even that has become a challenge.

We knew right away that we wanted to offer Jade and her daughter a little extra support. So this month, we gifted them a two-hour cleaning service, completely free of charge.

It’s a small gesture — but for Jade, we hope it brings a moment of calm, a touch of normality, and a reminder that she isn’t alone.
